Coming Around the Bend, it's Bouncing Betty!

We set off today on our grand cross-country adventure! We left our home in Perry, Utah, at about 9 am with seven human Johnsons (one of them a brand-new Johnson!) and one canine Johnson packed into our motorhome (which we have affectionately dubbed Bouncing Betty). Our ultimate destination is Athens, Georgia, to visit LaMar's family, but we aim to see as much of this great country as possible on the way there and on the way back. Our goal for tonight is to watch the Perseid meteor shower at Natural Bridges National Monument in Southern Utah. Currently, we are about half an hour from our RV-park-for-the-night in beautiful downtown Blanding, Utah (population 3,500). We will get our RV set up, and then head to Natural Bridges for some serious stargazing. More to come!
